I did a bit more searching in the code, the problem is
the XCreateWindow call. I printed out the available
depths, and 8 is one of them. For this depth, there
are 10 visuals according to
screen->depths[i].nvisuals. I tried pointing visual
to screen->depths[i].visuals, from 0 to 9 and still
the same error.
Finally I tried changing the depth. 0 and 24
progressed past the XCreateWindow call, but failed
later.
Am I missing something here?
Thanks,
Joshua Weage
